Customs & Documentation Guides
Practical, plain-language guidance on the paperwork that keeps shipments moving from Guangzhou to Syria, Lebanon, the Middle East, Africa and the USA -- compiled from our day-to-day freight-forwarding operations.
Guangzhou Everglow is a logistics and freight-forwarding company, not a manufacturer. The guides below reflect what we typically prepare, coordinate, or advise clients to gather when booking sea freight, air freight, or door-to-door shipments through our network. They are meant to help importers and trading companies understand what documentation is generally involved -- not to replace consultation with the relevant authority, carrier, or customs broker for a specific shipment.
Eleven Areas We Help
Clients Navigate
Commercial Invoice
The core record of what's being sold, at what price, and to whom. Customs at both origin and destination reference it to assess value and duties, so accuracy in product description and pricing matters.
Packing List
Details carton counts, weights, dimensions and container loading. It supports customs inspection and helps our tally teams verify what actually loaded at China's port warehouses against what was booked.
Bill of Lading
The carrier's contract and cargo receipt, issued under our VIP booking arrangements with CMA, MSC, MSK, COSCO and HPL. It's required to release cargo at destination, so consignee details need to match end-buyer records.
Export Customs Declaration
Filed with Chinese customs before cargo leaves port. We handle export brokerage as part of our booking service, coordinating HS codes and declared values across China's major export ports.
Battery Export Documents
Lithium and other battery shipments typically require dangerous goods documentation and export licensing. We coordinate this paperwork with carriers ahead of booking to avoid last-minute rejections at loading.
Vehicle Export Documents
Vehicles and machinery moving via breakbulk or RoRo need export licenses, chassis/VIN records, and often a certificate of origin. We arrange this documentation alongside booking with our RoRo and breakbulk partners.
Steel Export Documents
Steel coils and structural steel commonly require export licenses and mill test certificates. We coordinate these with tally and container-loading teams at port to keep FCL bookings on schedule.
Saudi SABER
Shipments into Saudi Arabia often require SABER conformity certificates before clearance. We factor SABER registration timelines into our Middle East booking schedules so cargo doesn't sit waiting at port.
Sudan ACD
Cargo bound for Sudan generally needs Advance Cargo Declaration (ACD) filing ahead of arrival. We coordinate ACD submission alongside our Africa lane bookings to help avoid preventable port delays.
Cargo Insurance Documents
A cargo insurance certificate protects shipment value against loss or damage in transit. We can help arrange coverage documentation and outline what's typically included when quoting FCL and DDP moves.
Destination Customs Preparation
Clearance requirements differ across Syria, Lebanon, the Middle East, Africa and the USA. For DDP moves, our team coordinates importer-of-record and bond arrangements so destination paperwork is in place before the ship sails.
Important Disclaimer
Customs and documentation requirements change frequently and vary significantly by cargo type, HS classification, and destination country.
